Battling Glass- a Novel coming to Amber Quill in January- 2012
Excerpt
Emilien was tired now. He ran his hands over his eyes. He looked up at Francois, who stood quite still, surveying the park with his sharp eyes. “What did you want to tell me?” Emilien asked him softly. It felt like before, long ago, the two of them together in the grass. There was no one else in the world but them.
“In a moment,” Francois whispered, going to his knees. He took Emilien’s face between his hands, leaned forward. Their lips met. Emilien turned off his mind and his mouth fell open in response to the pressure from Francois’ insistent mouth. “Oh God,” Francois moaned against his mouth, and slowly, he forced Emilien back into the grass.
His eyes glowed red as he stared down at Emilien, grabbing his wrists and pressing them over his head. The length of his body covered his. Emilien licked his lips, feeling his cock respond. “You feel incredible,” he whispered. “I want you so much. Give yourself to me, Emilien.”
Emilien surrendered to his kiss as the sun rose in the sky. He allowed Francois’ hands to move over his thigh then rub his cock lightly through the material of his jeans.
“The sun,” Emilien whispered. “Francois. Please.”
Francois released his wrists. He stood, waiting for Emilien to sit up again. Their eyes met for a moment…sadness, loss. Had this been what his whole existence had amounted to?
Francois titled his head to the side, and studied Emilien’s face. “If I could stop loving you, I would. And if I really thought you loved Carl for the right reasons…but…” He sighed. “Emilien, I don’t want to visit any more heartache on you, I’m so sorry, I have no choice.
“What is it?”
“Emilien, what I have to tell you…well, you already know deep down. Either you can’t bear to acknowledge it or you’ve simply put up barriers so you don’t have to see it.”
Emilien jumped up off the ground. He was angry suddenly. “Why must you torment me with this now? I can hardly stand up. I’m tired Francois. Christ I’m so tired. Just tell me, and get it over with!”
